Lodge Stays &

Accommodations

For travelers seeking an off-the-beaten-path adventure without sacrificing comfort, a lodge stay at Estancia Ranquilco offers an ideal retreat. Perched high above a river canyon in northern Patagonia, our artfully crafted, off-grid lodge invites guests to slow down and settle in.

A lodge stay includes unlimited horseback riding and lessons as desired, access to a private stretch of river, and three ranch-to-table meals each day. Depending on your ride, lunch may be a scenic picnic or enjoyed back at the lodge.

When not riding, guests can swim, fish, walk the property, join in ranch activities, or simply relax with a book, a glass of wine, and the steady sound of the river below.

The lodge features private guest rooms, a wood-fired riverside sauna, lush gardens and orchards, and sweeping views in every direction. Thoughtful design, warm hospitality, and personalized care create a stay that feels both deeply comfortable and genuinely memorable.

“Five-star nature and hospitality… a real community and labor of love.”

FAQ’s

  • We host guests during the South American summer months - from December 15 to March 31. December is early summer - lush and green with generally cool days, and beginning to get hotter around Christmas. January and February are the middle of summer - the days stretch out and are typically quite warm. Temperatures begin to cool in March, with days becoming quite crisp toward the end of the month and leaves beginning to change colors. Shoulder season visits in November and April can occasionally be arranged. During the winter months of June - September, the lodge is largely inaccessible due to snowy passes and high rivers.

  • Though generally quite pleasant during our open season (December 15 - March 31), mountain weather at Ranquilco can be unpredictable. Temperatures range from 60-85°F (15-30°C) in the days and can drop as low as 30°F (-1°C) in the nights.  It is important to come prepared for hot, high-elevation sun, persistent Andean winds, spontaneous cloud cover, rain, and cold.
