Thank you for considering volunteering at Ranquilco. We have been welcoming young people (of all ages!) to these incredible lands in Patagonia for several decades. We hope to welcome you sometime soon.

Read the website!

Please take the time to review our website. The volunteer section contains complete information about our three programs, pricing, housing options and work descriptions. Other sections tell you how to get to Ranquilco and all the people you will meet here. We get so many volunteer inquiries a month that we have taken the time to consolidate all of the information you need on the website. IF YOU take the time to read it thoroughly, Ashley or Georgie will take the time to respond to any additional questions you may have and we will do everything we can to help smooth your passage into the ranch.

A word on pricing

Our volunteer room & board pricing is detailed on the website. It is simple, your price is determined by:

(a) The program you sign up for: Immersion, Regular or Mounted

(Immersion volunteers camp or live in simple huts, so they pay less. Mounted volunteers pay extra for horse use during their stay)

(b) For Regular or Mounted volunteers, your accommodation choice

(Communal living in the Volunteer House is your least expensive option, prices go up for private rooms, and are even higher for private rooms with a private bathroom or kitchen – the choice is yours.)

(c) Your length of stay

(We love having volunteers stay for several months, therefore, the longer you stay, the lower your price per day.)

(d) Everyone entering and leaving Ranquilco pays a one time fee of $150 for us to send a gaucho to pack you and your luggage in.
