A wonderfully unique vacation rental available in Patagonia. We are now able to offer this two-bedroom fully equipped cottage on the banks of the Rio Trocoman. Use it as a base to fly-fish or horseback ride in the surrounding foothills of the Andes.
Estancia Trocoman is a 3,000 acre estancia, within Estancia Ranquilco, owned by Virginia Neary Carrithers. It’s about a 30 minute ride, or 45 minute walk, downstream from Casa Grande at Estancia Ranquilco.
The house is a handcrafted two bedroom, one bath house. The main bedroom is a suite, with a double bed, large fireplace, windows overlooking the river, and patio doors to an outdoor seating area with an outdoor day bed. The second bedroom has two single beds and a private entrance. The kitchen is fully equipped, with both a gas range and fireplace as well as a warming stove. The bathroom has a wood-heated shower.
PRICING
Cost is $150/day with a 7 day minimum, and down to $100/day for rentals of 30 days or more.
DETAILS
The Trocoman is not a typical cattle estancia, but more a quiet country retreat for people who want to rejuvenate or recharge in deep nature. It is also perfect for families who want to experience life in “el campo.”
A small garden produces greens. Fresh eggs are available, and the resident gaucho will provide fresh meat.
Support is available from the staff up at Estancia Ranquilco. Ride or walk up for asados or community events.
